Thankful November

Recap

I love to recap each year in November. It is the perfect time to sit back and see where we have been and where we are. Life is so hectic and we are always rushing through the days to get everything done on our “to do” lists. We never really sit down, go back and see how far we have come.

I believe this is a very important part of growth. You can’t see where you are going unless you see how far you have come. For me to start my thankful process I first need to reflect on my year. See where I have been and only then do I normally realise how far we have come.

I don’t know about you, but I forget about things very quickly. Only because each month, week and day offers it’s own challenges. If I don’t do this once a year, time and events just gets lost in translation. One thing I don’t wish for is to wake up one day, look back on my life and see one big blur.

Giving Thanks

Giving thanks is a very important step to end the year on a good note. Well for me at least. No matter what we faced during a year, there’s always so many things to be grateful for. The good things always over powers the bad things.

When you are in the middle of a storm it is hard to see the sun shining bright behind the dark clouds. It is only when the clouds clear away when we see the sun slowly showing himself again. At the end of each year, after many storms have passed, I can see clearly how God has been with us. Each day and each step of the way.

This is why I love going back, seeing how much God has been there. Count the miracles which at the time felt like torture and give thanks for every detail in our lives.

Moving Forward

December is just too busy to sit back and reflect. It’s more a sit back and relax kind of month anyway. In December I like to shift my mind and start focusing on the next year. For me to move forward from one year to the next I need to close the current year the right way. I am sure I am not the only one when I say, “I am ready to move forward from 2020.”

So many good and new adventures awaits us, and I am thankful for this past year and what it has taught me. I think world wide every person learnt something. Use this month with me, reflect on all the miracles in your life before we go out there in 2021 to face yet another year.

Sending much love                                                                                                                                                                                                    Mom Just Saying                                                                                                                                                                                                             XOXO
