I have a confession!

I have a confession to make, I have a huge weakness. I am not a morning person and it takes everything inside me to get out of bed in the mornings. I am one of those people that want to lie in bed, wake up slowly, enjoy my time getting ready, slowly……. while having 5 cups of coffee!
Instead my alarm goes of a couple of hours earlier than what I can actually handle, I have to fight a huge fight to not hit the snooze button, and then I have to drag my body to the kitchen to have some coffee while the entire house is still asleep! Packing the lunch boxes in the mornings are my absolute worst and I procrastinate it as much as I possibly can!
I don’t need to tell you that we are late for school almost everyday, and I do stuff like arrive at gym with nothing to tie my hair which by the way I haven’t brushed yet! Or I arrive and forgot water on days when my beautiful crazy trainer decides to kill us. That’s the only hour in a day where I literally count the seconds….. Time does not fly at gym! FACT! Most of the time I get so hungry half way throughout a workout, all I can think about is what I’m going to have for breakfast.
Back home I immediately relax, I go into my zone and love it! Nothing is rushed, even if I have a million things to do before I fetch the first 2 kids from school. I am a firm believer in not rushing this process of bathing and making breakfast. I have good company as well, honored to be accompanied by a gorgeous 2 years old.
Once I am ready, I am really ready! Then I can finally say I am awake and can take on the world! Not a moment sooner!
What I’m trying to say is we all have our good strong points and we all have our weaknesses. It’s pointless trying to focus on our weaknesses. Acknowledge it, but don’t allow it to take over your life so that you can’t pay attention or grow your strong points! The good must always overcome the bad, it has to work like that! I believe it! No person has all their ducks in one straight line! No person has it all, so a good place to start and to get to know yourself better is to know your good and weak points. Put more energy and focus on what you are good at, and just live with what you are not so good at. I’m not saying don’t try improve yourself but in my case some things are better left alone 😬 and you win some, you loose some!
I’d much rather give myself a high 5 for packing awesome lunch boxes, although I can’t stand it and getting to gym although it’s one of my biggest obstacles at this point in my life. Celebrate your weaknesses, there is always a silver lining! I mean God did create us in His own image so there has got to be something good and something special worth celebrating and living for 🎀 even if it is not early in the mornings
