Wow. We went to go watch our girls dance in theater tonight! I had moments where I had to bite my lips, my heart was bursting, I felt so so proud!
You see the last couple of months was crazy for these girls! They danced on Fridays, Saturdays and their normal weekly lessons changed from 30 minutes to an hour. I had to bribe them at times, I had to really convince them to go at times, and I had to promise that I will sit in my car the entire practice and not go anywhere some days. I had to fine tune between hockey matches and dance lessons, changing in the car from one outfit to the next.
It was crazy, but I promise you when I saw those girls on stage tonight, it made everything worth while.
Life is so hard on these little ones and the pressure is really on, but in the midst of all this chaos I try teach them that hard work always pays off. If they can learn this at a very young age, I can only see a successful adult life ahead of them. Perseverance, confidence and persistency is what we should teach our kids, most importantly to have fun! They loved every second of dancing this week, and it showed.
I just believe that if we teach our children from a young age how to cope and where to find their strength, the next generation will do and bring great things! If they know they are never alone and can always go to God, I mean I don’t think there is a bigger and better gift we can give our children.
There is no greater lesson than this lesson and we should make it our number 1 priority to make sure they don’t just believe it, but hold on to this truth.
I don’t want them to be the best at everything but I do want them to be the best they can be in Christ and that lesson starts from young and at home ❤️
